Day to Day Itinerary

Upon our arrival at the Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by our airport representative who will drop you off at the hotel. After checking in, you can take a rest and refresh yourself. You may also stroll in the streets of Thamel, a tourist hub in Kathmandu. In the evening, there will be a welcome dinner, for dinner, you will be served excellent Nepalese cuisine. Overnight in Kathmandu.

We leave early today for Soti Khola. During the trip, we can enjoy a view of the Nepalese countryside and the mountains. We will drive along a paved road that connects Kathmandu with Dhading Bensi, Dhading District headquarters (1050 m), but the trip from Dhanding Bensi to Arughat will be difficult. Arriving at Arughat, an important city in the region, we continue our way to Soti Khola. We will spend the night in Soti Khola.

After crossing over the bridge, we stroll through the beautiful forests of Sal, then climb a ridge over the huge rapids in the Budhi Gandaki. It ends up going down some terraced rice fields and then goes up to the Gurung village of Labubesi. We climb further behind a rocky promontory, where the valley opens and Budhi Gandaki meanders between large gravel bars. Going down to the sandy bed of the river, we walk along rounded stones before climbing a ridge. We go down to the river and cross another suspension bridge to reach the town of Machha Khola. We will spend the night in Machha Khola.

The narrow track makes some ups and downs and finally crosses the Tharo Khola to get to Khorlabesi. After some more ups and downs, we find a small Hot Spring in Tatopani. From the hot springs, we climb another ridge, then cross Budhi Gandaki on a suspension bridge. After crossing a suspension bridge in the Yaru Khola, we climb the stone stairs, descend to the river and climb back several stone steps that lead to Tharo Bharyang. Crossing the west bank of Budhi Gandaki, we climb a ridge, walk along the river, and then climb the village of Jagat. Overnight in Jagat.

We start today's trek by climbing a rocky ridge to Salleri, then descend to Sirdibas. The valley widens a little wide while the trail continues to Ghatta Khola. The road turns north just above the lowest house in the village and stays on a fairly flat road while crossing the millet fields towards Ekle Bhatti. The road now enters a steep, uninhabited gorge. At this point, we descend the grassy slopes, cross Budhi Gandaki, continue a long journey along the west bank and then return to the east bank. Continuing down the road, the valley widens and we pass through bamboo forests to Dyang Khola. Crossing the Khola, we arrive at the small village of Dyang. Overnight in Dyang.

After the altitude of Dyang slowly increases, we enter the alpine zone of the Himalayas, as we descend towards Bihi Bazaar, a small town near the edge of the river, which is rich in Tibetan culture. The further walk leads us to the village of Ghap. We will spend the night in Ghap.

From Ghap village on a pleasant trail along the bank of Budhi Gandaki River, we cross the river through scattered small farm villages with cultivated farm fields of barley, wheat and millets. Upon arriving at Numrung village we will have magnificent views of Mt. Manaslu. We continue our trek passing a few villages of Banjham, Lhi and Sho and Shrip village before arriving at Lho-Gaon. Overnight at Lho-Gaon.

After Dyang and Lho-Gaon, altitude gains to cooler temperature and we trail thoroughly where tree lines drop for a few shrubs, juniper bushes and Juniper trees. We walk gradually on a nice trail with views of snow-capped peaks and finally reach the large village of Samagaon, which lies en route to Manaslu base camp. Overnight at Samagaon.

Today is the day of rest in Samagaon. You can spend the day resting or strolling around. If you prefer to walk, you have three options. You can visit Birendra Taal, 3 km from Samagaon Base Camp or the Pungen monastery. The base camp is 6 km away and it will take about 5 hours to get there. It is located at an altitude of 4800m. From here you can also see the Manaslu Glacier. Pungen Monastery is 6-7 km from its acclimatization site. This place gives a better panoramic view of Mt. Manaslu and its neighbouring peaks. Overnight at Samagaon.

First, from the village of Samagaon, you will walk about 3 hours through a steep hill and continue on the mainland for 15 minutes on foot before reaching your destination: Samdo. Samdo is a Tibetan refugee village at 3800 m altitude. That day, you will cross magnificent juniper and birch forests to the base camp. Once here, you will witness the awe-inspiring mountains as well as Mt. Manaslu. Overnight at Samdo.

Even today, we continue our walk on the edge, cross the wooden bridge on Budhi Gandaki and start climbing. Crossing two streams and observing the Larkya Glacier, we encircled the valley of Salka Khola and climbed to the stone guest house (4450 m), which is not a lodge but a type of shelter called Dharamshala, also known as Larke Phedi. Today's short walk also leaves plenty of time to acclimatize and relax in the afternoon. We will spend the night in Dharamshala.

Today you walk to the highest point of your Manaslu trek for 12 days. This is the most famous and difficult part, namely the Larkya Pass at 5213 m. Here you will get the best views of the Himalayan ranges. You can attend Mt. Annapurna II, Cheo Himal, Kang Guru and Himlung Himal. After crossing the pass, you will head to a grassy moraine. The path becomes easier from here. An additional walk of about 6 hours will take you to the beautiful village of Bimthang. Overnight at Bimtang.

From a ridge in Bimthang, we can enjoy excellent views of Mt. Manaslu, Lamjung Himal, Himlung Himal and Cheo Himal. We descend further and cross a high pasture (Sangure Kharka) followed by a bridge over Dudh Khola. We walk through the rhododendron forest and follow a path through a narrow valley until we reach the highest cultivated land in the valley at Karche, 2785 meters. We pass through the fields before making a steep climb on a ridge. The trail leaves the ridge in a large and wide arch to the riverbank at 2580 m. A short distance further on is the Tilje. Overnight at Tilje.

We climb over a small ridge and enjoy the stone-paved trail as it passes through a beautiful village. We then cross the bridge over Dudh Khola climb up through a chorten-shaped arch and reach the Thonje village. Further down, we come across Karte village and after quite a bit of walking, we cross a bridge over Marshyangdi Khola. We also come across some Mani walls before reaching the village of Tal. Overnight in Tal.

The trip from Tal to Kathmandu by Besi Sahar offers the opportunity to enjoy the Mountain and its landscapes. The trip is often on the banks of the rivers Marsyangdi and Trishuli. We also cross beautiful villages with agricultural terraces on both sides of the road before reaching Kathmandu. In Kathmandu, you will be escorted to the hotel where you can rest for a while. To celebrate the success of our trip, we will have a farewell dinner in the evening. Overnight in Kathmandu.
