Lower Manaslu offers multiple religious, ecological and cultural facets. it has every potential to be among the most popular historical and tourist destinations in the country. However, the number of tourists coming to this region is limited. The Lower Manaslu route offers moderate level treks, agro-tourism tours and home accommodation in the community. The residents are also committed to the development and promotion of tourism in the district. It is the Manaslu of the Himalayan hills, the life of agricultural villages, work in the fields with terraced crops, meeting a smiling and welcoming Gurung people. In the hills, the Gurungs built beautiful villages with stone and wooden houses. Come and share an adventure with a human face, great encounters and life immersed in the villages as close as possible to the inhabitants.

Simjung by 4x4 approximately 7/8 hours drive, night in Simjung.

Includes and Excludes for Trek

  • 8-day trek permits, Kathmandu to Simjung by 4x4 and Sotikhola to Kathmandu by local bus.

  • Accommodation and full board "à la carte" during the 8-day trek (in lodges and homestays, sometimes with good quality local food).

  • Accompanied by a professional French-speaking guide and 1 porter for a group of 2 people (15/20kg per porter maximum, including meals, accommodation, salaries, and insurance for the team). For groups of 6 or more participants, additional accompaniment by an assistant guide.

  • 2 nights of hotel accommodation in Kathmandu with breakfast included.

  • International flights, entry visa to Nepal (for 15 days = $25, 30 days = $40 or equivalent in euros, in cash), and domestic airport taxes.

  • Meals in Kathmandu (excluding breakfast), extra beverages throughout the stay and the trek (excluding tea or coffee during breakfast).

  • Necessary water purification tablets (micropur or aquatabs), hot water showers, entrance fees to monuments, cities, and museums, tips for the guide and porters.

  • Mountain rescue insurance (including helicopter rescue) is mandatory. It is recommended to bring your own medications and personal first aid kit.
