The Langtang trek is one of the most popular trekking routes in Nepal. Langtang trekking is also called the Valley of Glacier trek. Langtang is the closest place to the massive snow-capped mountains and beautiful glaciers. The Langtang is a superb short trek that packs a lot of scenic punch into a small amount of time. The trail climbs through the Langtang valley from only 1450 m in Syabrubesi to 3870 m in Kyanjin Gompa, following the Langtang Khola River through lush forests and bamboo groves to a collection of pastures, glaciers and alpine peaks on the border with Tibet.
The Langtang Himal region is located north of the Kathmandu Valley and south of the Tibetan border. The valley of Langtang is surrounded by high peaks of great attractiveness. Some of the popular peaks are Langtang Himal, Naya Kanga, Lirung, Gangcheng, Langtang Ri and many others. Not to mention that the river is formed by the melted ice of Langtang Himal, so it is called Langtang River. The Langtang Valley has become famous since British mountaineer Bill Tilman described it as the most beautiful valley in the world. The highest peak of this region is Shishapangma or Gosaithan, 8027m in Tibet. The journey from Langtang Valley to Gosaikunda is rich in diversity.
