Day to Day Itinerary

Upon our arrival in Kathmandu, our representative will pick you up from the airport and take you to the hotel. While you are at the hotel you can refresh and take rest for a while. In the evening you can stroll down the city of Thamel which is also known as the city of tourists and the welcome dinner will be hosted later that evening. Overnight in Kathmandu.

After breakfast, in the afternoon, there will be a pre-trip discussion where you can meet our trekking leader and other team members. You can use this time to ask about our visit to the trekking manager. On the Free afternoon, we can rest or walk around the city (visit the World Heritage sites - optional). Overnight in Kathmandu.

During the 40-minute flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (9186 feet), we enjoy one of the most beautiful air routes in the world, culminating in a hill surrounded by Mountain peaks. In Lukla, a starting point for our trek, we met with the other members of our team. After an hour of gradual descent, we will be in the village of Cheplung from where we will see Mt. Khumbila (18900 feet), a sacred mountain that has never been climbed. From Cheplung, we gradually descend to Phakding and spend the night.

Walking through a beautiful pine forest, we follow the path north of the Benkar Valley. Then we cross the Dudh Koshi River and continue from Chumoa to Monjo, the entrance to Everest National Park. Then, crossing a suspension bridge, we pass by the village of Jorsale and walk along the Dudh Koshi and Bhote Koshi Rivers. A steep climb brings us to the heart of Sherpa village - Namche Bazaar. Overnight at Namche Bazaar.

We can visit Namche Bazaar, the main city of the Everest or Khumbu region, which consists of government offices, ATMs, cybercafés, local shops, restaurants and a colourful market. We can hike to the Sagarmatha National Park and enjoy the sunrise over the Himalayas, including Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kongde and so on. If we are interested in a day hike, we can walk to the village of Khumjung. Today we also visit the Hillary school and a monastery which houses a yeti scalp. We will spend the night in the Namche bazaar.

The trek until Phunki is an easy walk. From here we ascend towards Tengboche village which has the very famous Tengboche monastery which is the biggest monastery in the Everest region. The monastery is blessed with panoramic views of the Himalayas, including Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam and Thamserku. Overnight in Tengboche.

Our path descends through lush forests of birches, confer and rhododendrons. During the trek, we can admire beautiful views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse and Ama Dablam. We continue our trek to the Imja Valley and the Lobuche River before going up to Dingboche. It is a picturesque village with beautiful fields of barley, potatoes and buckwheat, as well as grazing animals dotted along those fields. Night at Dingboche.

Spending a day in Dingboche will help us get used to the high altitude. Instead of remaining inactive, we climb a ridge behind the village and see six of the highest peaks in the world, including Lhotse, Makalu and Cho Oyu. In addition, we can also admire the peaks of Cholatse and Taboche. In our northwest, we see other peaks of the Himalayas that rise above the valley of Khumbu Khola. Of these summits, Lobuche West, Lobuche East and Lhotse are the most dominant. From another place on the ridge, we can also admire the picturesque valley of Imja Khola and the beautiful village of Dingboche. Night in Dingboche.

Today, the trail continues along the lateral moraine of the Khumbu glacier and passes near stone monuments for mountaineers who have perished in the nearby peaks. We continue climbing as we head towards the town of Lobuche, located at the foot of the giant peak of Lobuche. Some respiratory problems may occur today due to the high altitude. Night in Lobuche.

The trek to Everest Base Camp is not very difficult. However, we ascend and descend mainly along a glacier path. There are also a lot of meanders in difficult terrain. Upon arrival at the base camp, we enjoy the incredible fusion patterns and admired the gently rounded ice towers on top of the Khumbu glacier. The Everest base camp is incredibly beautiful. We can enjoy incredible views of the Nuptse, Khumbuste and Pumori mountains from the base camp. After immersing ourselves in beauty, we walk back to Gorak Shep, where we will spend the night. Overnight in Gorak Shep.

Today we wake up early for the trek to Kala Patthar. It is dark outside with cold temperatures and probably cold winds. We walk on a fairly steep trail at a comfortable pace. Climbing the hill, we can see the Lingtren, Khumbutse and Changtse mountains. The view from the top is exceptional. After spending some time at the top of Kala Patthar, we return to Gorak Shep, which is relatively easier than hiking to Kala Patthar. After there, we return to Gorak Shep and have lunch together. After lunch, we descend to Dhungla to spend the night. Overnight in Dhungla.

Leaving the mountains behind us, our descent takes us away from the Everest Base Camp through Pangboche and Tengboche before continuing to the town of Namche Bazaar. We arrive back in Namche in the evening. Overnight at Namche Bazaar.

We begin our trek to Namche Bazaar today on a rocky terrain. It is mainly a descent on a path along the Dudh Koshi River. We cross several suspension bridges, cross several monasteries and towns before arriving at Lukla. After arriving in Lukla, we spent the rest of the day resting because it would be our last day in the Mountains. Overnight in Lukla.

We take an early morning flight to Kathmandu. After arriving in Kathmandu, we can rest or do some souvenir shopping. If we want to explore other areas of Kathmandu, we can do it today. Our guides can help you with your purchases of souvenirs or might even do sightseeing around the valley. Overnight in Kathmandu.

The Everest Base Camp trek concludes today – our airport representative will drop you off at Tribhuwan International Airport a few hours before the scheduled flight.
