Day to Day Itinerary

We start our day early, driving from Kathmandu to Besishar, a journey of about 6-7 hours covering 190 kilometers. Along the way, enjoy scenic views of villages, farms, rivers, and mountains.

Today's trek leads us through a lush forest adorned with towering pine, fir, oak, and maple trees, creating a picturesque canopy overhead. Our path eventually leads us to Chame, the administrative hub of the Manang district. Enveloped by verdant forests, we are treated to breathtaking vistas of the Lamjung Himal, Annapurna II, and Annapurna IV (7,525m) towering majestically on the horizon. Along the way, we encounter small hot springs, offering a rejuvenating respite for weary travelers. Upon reaching Manang, we'll pause for a day to acclimatize to the higher altitudes, allowing our bodies to adjust to the increased elevation. This respite presents an opportunity to delve into the charms of Manang. Embarking on an early morning hike to Gangapurna Lake or Ice Lake promises breathtaking vistas of Annapurna III, Tilicho, Pisang, and Chulu Peaks, immersing us in the awe-inspiring beauty of the Himalayan landscape. Throughout the day, we can explore the quaint streets of Manang village, soaking in its rich cultural heritage and vibrant atmosphere. The trek from Manang to Siri Kharka offers a relatively gentle journey, beginning with an upper route that winds down to a river crossing before leading us through enchanting coniferous forests. After approximately three hours of trekking, we arrive at the Tibetan settlement of Khangsar, where we can soak in the cultural richness of the region. Continuing onwards, we make our way to Shiri Kharka, surrounded by breathtaking vistas of Gungang Himal and the majestic Mt. Chulu, adding a touch of splendor to our trekking experience. Gazing upon the majestic Himalayan peaks stretching northward into Tibet, and casting a glance back at the imposing silhouette of Annapurna, one cannot help but feel humbled by nature's grandeur. Descending from Thorong La Pass, we make our way to Muktinath, a revered pilgrimage site for Hindus and Buddhists alike. Known as Chumig Ghasa in Tibetan, Muktinath is famed for its 108 stone water spouts, symbolizing purity and spiritual cleansing.
